This is one of my very favorite Christmas albums. It is really lovely and not typical and still very much about Christmas. "Mary, Did You Know?" is one of my three favorite Christmas songs, along with "My Grown Up Christmas List" and "The Christmas Song"- and this is a great version of it. On some cds you always want to skip certain songs- I like every song on this one and it is truly about Christmas.

It's a little slow-mellow. Christmas should be exciting! He kind of is sounding karaoke on the song, Pretty Little Baby Child. i guess this is why hes not more famous!

I can honestly say I didn't grow up listening to Kenny Rogers. My parents were huge fans and I would hear a few songs here and there even in movies. I'm now 29 and I have to say I'm wiser!! And I heard this album and I fell in love with it!! I don't particularly listen to gospel music, I must admit, If Kenny Rogers sings it, I'm listening. It's soft, smooth, heartfelt and it touched me. Thank you Kenny!

If you love Kenny Rogers, this is a must-have. My favorites are "Mary, Did You Know," "It's the Messiah," "Sweet Little Jesus Boy," and "It's the Messiah." I do not care for "The Chosen One" Montage, so if you want to save some cash, buy only the other songs. Highly, hightly recommend.
