    This is Max Reger's last composition before his death. Very mature work in the vein of Brahms and Schoenberg.  Very rich sonorities and more tonal than some of his earlier works.  Very fine and mature performance by all members of the Quintet. Beautiful clarinet sound blending well with beautiful string sonorities.  Last reviewer was very unkind and not mature in comments regarding the clarinetist.  Sorry to see those unkind postings.  This recording is worth having and certainly under priced.  Ted Lane

    I play the clarinet, and this guy just copies other people's work. He also oesn't do a very good job. Go back to your high school marching band! People apreciate your work there! SORRY DUDE! (not)
