Your jazz collection is not complete without this recording. An amazing talent. After 20 years, I have yet to get tired of listening to it.

This is one of the most incredible ablums I know. I was in junior high when I was first introduced to it.I was completely enthralled with Erroll Garner's talent. He was one of the best jazz pianist ever.

This is one of the greatest piano jazz albums ever recorded... all soul and full born technique with a responsive audience. Heard it when I was very young and remembered it to this day

I own the vinyl version of this fantastic release and have loved it for ages. Erroll Garner was a true prodigy. He never had formal music training and never learned to read music, yet he produced such fantastic music! Concert By The Sea takes you there to the majestic setting of it's recording. Erroll was in rare form and the music just swings! An unbelieveable talent!
  • Pretty corny & poor sound quality

Sounds like the concert is very far away. Errol's playing is very cheesy and dated.

I was 13 when my older brother "gave" me this album (even though he still has it), and I didn't know what he was thinking at the time. I can now appreciate his gesture - this is a beautiful introduction to a classic artist in both format and style. I don't know enough about jazz to describe it well to you, but I know what I like - this.
