Sophisticated Boom Boom is a Good Starter for the then rising Dead or Alive

Pete Burns got his start in 1980 with Dead or Alive, they did singles that really got no success outside Liverpool but finally pounced on the music scene in 1983 with Sophisticated Boom Boom. Pete Burns has always had stupendous vocals and on this debut its no exception. Sophisticated Boom Boom has its strong points and its weak points. Perhaps the weak points on this album are songs like "What I Want" and "Far Too Hard", but thankfully the album has more strong points than weak points with songs like "Misty Circles", "Thats the Way(I Like It)", and "I'd Do Anything" the latter two being my personal favorite off this album. Overall Dead or Alive had a good starter with this album and there were many many more and better albums to come in their future.
