Finally, someone took the amazing tale of Super Mario and turned it into an opera. Buy this, trust me, you'll love it.

This opera is a compilation of progressive rock and folk music mixed with some 8-bit midi influence. I am a hard rock/ metal fan. However, I found this album very enjoyable. If you are a Mario Bros. fan you will recognize most of the tunes that the music is set to. Mann is a progressive genius and I hope to see more from him on iTunes in the future.

Jonathan Mann does not get the credit he diserves for this and his other great works. Growing up playing Mario and idolizing the impact video games have on society, I give him two thumbs up for continuing to provide a refreshing flashback of my childhood. The Mario Opera is a great mix of both traditional themes, along with a refreshing burst of originality. All of the songs are cleverly arranged, and show the potential Jonathan has as a songwirter, musician, and as an inspiration to future generations to come.

I wish I could see the production now from hearing the soundtrack! It takes an awesome video game and adds more depth then just save the princess and I cant wait to get the act 2 and 3 CD when they comes out!!!!!! SWEET!

Okay so here's the basic premise of this thing: you got Mario, and you make an opera out of it. It already sounds pretty sweet, but this isn't jsut some random kid recording with a radioshack mic, this is really good stuff. The songs are an amazing blend of Mario music and origional music. All in all, I really recommend this to anyone who is a fan of video games, Mario, or musicals in general.

i love this album! its really fun to listen to. all mario music yet still very original. videogame fan? its a must buy. not? buy it anyways.
