I'll start by saying i'm a big Fam Tree fan and I have Io's first CD. I'm rounding up to four stars, 3.5 is what I would have given, he gets 4 because it's still so much better than the crap you find on the radio. Give "Deep Rooted" (his prior CD) I think you'll agree.

Just purchased Go Head, after having seen Iomos perform. Check out tracks War Stories and If Ever. This guy has just as much talent as popular artists such as Jay-Z and Kanye. Buy the CD...you won't be disappointed.

All I know that after 20 minutes of listening to 30 second snipets of each album they were must haves. With insightful reflections of a Mos Def or Common coupled with lyrical delivery that is ready to match almost anyone in the game combined with some of the sickest beats to grace the likes of the Hip-Hop industry Iomos is easily one of the best arstists today. What else could you want...Meaningful, artistic lyrics, flow that switches pace and keeps you on your toes and beats to match? Keep doin what you do playa, they'll take notice. In the words of Kweli, "a giant can't slumber forever"
Go Head AND Deep Rooted are SICK

Iomos is holdin it down for Chicago. I saw him perform tracks from this album live and it was sick, as is the album. If noone knows about him, cop the Deep Rooted LP. Both Go Head and Deep Rooted are definitely worth the purchase

Iomos is simply the best MC's to bless the mic!! There are a lot of great MC's, but Iomos stands the tallest of them all. A geat message is in every song. His flow with words is so clear. Understandable positive messages of how hard and beautiful life is. It is a great lesson for those who understand what it is to struggle with life, but live a beautiful life. GO HEAD!!! Thanks, Iomos!! Keep doing what you love and we will keep listening.
