My husband and I saw Debbie perform on May 2nd, with the Broadway Diva's. Their performance with the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra was spectacular and it is why I've come to iTunes for more of her. Her rendition of Defying Gravity gave me goose bumps!

Debbie performed here last night (02/16/08). She was mildly entertaining, the show could and should have been shorter, the narrative parts of the show were corny to put it mildly. For some of the songs I felt like I should have been in a night club. Unfotunately, after a very long introduction into the song her voice totally gave out on "Defying Gravity" and it was painful to hear her finish hacking her way through it. Definitely not up to my expectations.
hammy performance

I saw Debbie in Rochester with "The Broadway Divas" and thought her performance was the weakest of the three. She belted out the corniest of broadway songs as if she was trying to shake the spiders out of the rafters.
As for her stage presence - lets just say the outfits looked like 60 pounds of sugar in a 10 pound bag
Ok

I think she can sing, but she just doesn't sound right singing Defying Gravity.
A powerful performance!

I recently saw Debbie Gravitte performing "Defying Gravity" and "Memory" live, and her voice and stage presence were both outstanding! She owns the stage with such a tangible charisma and powerful emotion! I just had to come here and buy them for future listening, and was delighted to find that these recordings manage to capture that same phenomenal quality. Highly recommended!
What are they talking about

Okay, I am sure she's got a nice voice but have you ever heard Defying Gravity on the Wicked Soundtrack! That version is moving and makes me want to cry. Please, her version, though nice in its own way, is no comparison to any of these songs. Anyway, good music, but needs to be sung by the real people!

I've worked with Debbie several times and I'll be working with her again next week. She's nothing less than shocking onstage: a powerful voice, commanding presence, and a sincerity in her music that is truly rare. Best of all, she's wonderful to work with. If you're not sure about this album, get the first track and you'll be sold. "Defying Gravity" is worth the cost of the entire album. Enjoy!
An amazing woman!

Debbie Gravitte performed with the Symphony I perform with in May. She has an amazing voice and sparkling personality, and it was a treat for her to sit down and talk with me. About half the songs on this cd were performed at the concert. I had an opening night playbill of Zorba, her broadway debut, that I asked her to sign, and she was shocked that I knew who she was or what she was in.
I guarantee you will love this album. It is well worth the money!
