I discovered The Midnight only a few weeks ago on YouTube by pure chance. I started listening to more of their stuff, then saw they had this album dropping in October. I thought I was taking a chance on buying the whole album, thinking there might only be a couple of good songs. First listen A to Z had my jaw on the floor. The entire album rips. I love it. I’ll have the whole thing on repeat for the foreseeable future.

Have followed Tyler and Tim from the beginning and this may be their best complete piece yet, truly transcendent atmospheres, new styles, new anthems and of course beautiful synths and sax. This will be on repeat for months and years to come🎶🎶🎶

The Midnight used to be clean music aI could play around my kid or in mixed company, but for the second album in a row, they feel the need to drop F bombs and stuff. It's a shame they've gone this route. I prefer the earlier family-friendly stuff. Aside from that, this album is derivative of their earlier work, which is great. Heroes was a real hit-or-miss album, as was Monsters, which had some bizarre tracks.

I have no words. Actually, I have a couple. An absolute masterclass in songwriting and sonic landscapes. Thank you Tyler, Tim, and everyone involved with this synthwave opus.

After scrolling through iTunes last week, I discovered The Midnight. Where have they been all my life?! Love their sound and how they remind me of the 80’s.
