The original was borderline perfect. The new unclean vocals are just one note and boring. It sounds like they are just trying to speed through each song as fast as they can. Now if you were telling me this was a tribute band then I would understand. Bring Alex back. Make it right again.

I was so nervous when I saw they re-recorded this, as it was such a pivotal album for my early teenage years and the development of my musical taste.
Holy cow am I glad they did it! I think I still prefer Alex’s screams, but the production is WAY better and the mixes are so much more dynamic. And the clean vocals are far and beyond what was on the original. You can tell how much these guys have grown as musicians by listening to the albums back to back.
Well worth it.

I wanted to like this album so much when it was originally released but it didn't connect with me as a whole, I only enjoyed the singles which landed on the greatest hits album. In this release the vocals are far better and the instrument levels are dialed in to perfection. It's a 100% play-through.

So I’m a big fan of the newer atreyu sound as opposed to the old- There was WAY too much screaming (for me). At the same time, I feel like this remake just doesn’t work…. The screaming is kind of cringey…. Idk man I was just really hoping for much better. The choruses sound great, I’ll give them that!
