Woah, wow, what a journey. This album felt like it was activating joy, sorrow, anger, confusion, reflection, pride, everything. This is without a doubt my album of the year. I have nothing but gratitude Nemahsis as a human, as a Palestinian American, for the pure artistry that this is the record. Praying to God that you continue on making art. Music needs this.

In a world where artificial intelligence can recreate much of the pablum that passes for music today, Nemahsis shows how human creativity can stay several steps ahead for the foreseeable future. You find hints of other artists - Feist, Billie Eilish, and others come to mind - but each song has a unique creative take that others will surely try to emulate. Her style tells me both that she cares deeply for the art but also doesn’t care what anyone else things. Luckily for me, I care very much for it.
I was a DJ in college in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s, and as such I believe we have been in a downward spiral of creativity since those days. Nemahsis gives me hope that our best musical days aren’t behind us.
