Sorry but I see gross reviews sighting “no emotion” or “very depressing” and all I can think of is that these must be children with virtually no life experience past high school or their online bubble. The other option is flat out sociopaths who couldn’t understand empathy or emotion if Patrick Bateman slapped them in the face with it. I don’t care if this music was made to specifically hit us in the feels whether from a marketing perspective or a true expression of the artist inner feelings. I don’t think that it’s a completely strategic business decision making the kind of music he makes. Judging from the many interviews with Capaldi I’ve seen you can can clearly see some of the real struggles and pain he experiences peeking out from beneath the outrageously charming and funny character he is these situations. I think it is the perfect soundtrack to accompany many of us when dealing in loss or self doubt. It’s not all about crying in your pretzels music by any means. Most songs are nice easy listening bops suitable for any situation. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase of both his extended albums, love this stuff!

The mental health themed songs are the best he’s done! So relatable to those who struggle. His love songs are raw and passionate. And he uses beautiful parts of his voice I’ve not heard before. It’s one terrific record!

If only closed minds came with closed mouths. Lewis…thank you for having the strength to persevere through the darkness & create another beautiful album to share with us! I love that your songs reflect raw emotion & your voice brings those emotions to life. You’re an inspiration!
