Sky: Concert in the Light (Original Game Soundtrack)

“I can’t recall last time I opened my eyes to see the world as beautiful.” Those were the words I repeated for 2 years straight. Sky made a beautiful decision to collaborate with Aurora to create a concert. And guess what?! Since THE CONCERT happened, we’re getting more SkyKids! This really brought up the profit and act of the game. Onto the real review…… September….somewhere around there…2022…I think. Yeah, 2022. I was looking for some new games, browsing App Store. Lalaaaaalalalalalal-WAT. “Sky???” I literally remember staring at the logo and event video for at least an HOUR. I was like,”OHOHOHOHOHOHO, this looking a bit interesting!!” so guess what I did?? I click dat download button. KABOOOM! Magic awaited me in under 30 seconds. Once it was finished, I literally SLAPPED the app and said, “PRESTO!” 🤹🏾‍♀️I knew nothing about the game at the time. It didn't even know it EXISTED! So, I was like, “COME ON MAN LOAD ALREADY!!” then the most magical thing happened. It gave me a run-down of the WHOLE THANG. Sure, I looked on the front page of the App Store and saw this, but- WAIT WE CAN FLY?! OH YEAH!! Skipping all of that….I DEFINITELY DID NOT SKIP THE FLYING PART AND DIDNT GET ANY WINGS AND WENT TO THE CONCERT NOT ABLE TO FLY…..okay I did. I WAS SOOOO EXCITED! Too excited! WAY TOO EXCITED. Once I realized you can’t fly without wings, I was like..”well this is disappointing.” But here’s the thing. YOU CAN FLY WITHOUT WINGS. I was so dang confused. I was like, “ so you have to have wings to fly…but others are able to fly WITHOUT THEM. WHAT IS THIS?!” Then, that all changed. Over the course of 30-40 minutes, I found out what spells were, and got a cape-less spell, and wit MY DUMB SELF….sigh. I used it. 🤦🏾‍♀️I swear if you saw me, I looked RIDICULOUS wit a cape but no flight available. all I was able to do was jump off of platforms and float. 6 hours later….. Okay, so I did some grinding(I literally have a hour long video with me grinding my little butt off😂😂) and…I got to level 26-28…? “That’s enough!” It was kinda hard. Like, I got to the hidden forest and got like…two spirits free. Disappointing. JUST SAD. 😢But hol up. YO. YOYOOYOYO-MISSIONS?! Dreams Fulfilled. 😁 Then I got some new bling blang….and it was USELESS. I DONT WANT HEIGHT ALTERATION!! I NEED NEW CAPES!! NOOOOOOO!!!!😡😡😡I DONT NEED A TRAIL! I DONT NEED THAT OR THIS, I JUST WANT ONE CAPE-oh. Then I realized….you have to earn stuff. What’d you EXPECT, me?! THAT IN THIS GAME THAT EVERYTHING IS FREE?! YOU HAVE TO EARN THINGS AND BUY THINGS!! Then I made a new friend…out of default. Like, we were doing the same thing, looking for the same spirit, it was friendship at first sight. 30 minutes later…. Okay, I have reserved my seat WITH A GROUP OF STRANGERS, while drinking tea. Or…whatever this is. Oh and there’s cookies too! We currently have bout 7 minutes left before it starts! :D Then my friend joins. The more the merrier! He had separate seats though, but I DIDNT CARE. I was tweaking with the controls, until I heard it. THE CONCERTS STARTING EVERYONE SHUT UP. Then the one…. THE ONLY…. AURORA POPS ONTO THE STAGE!!! Me: Ermm..who is dis? Stranger: That’s Aurora, dummy! That’s why this season is called The Season Of Aurora! Me: dang man I was just asking! no need to go all out! Then it randomly gets really dark. “OH NAH.” Wait am I an animal or something??? Guys I can’t remember. Was it a butterfly?? Yeah I’m pretty sure it was a butterfly. Then the first song plays. Or the intro. “I want you to breathe in and breathe out.” You guessed it! Exhale! Inhale! Exhale! Inhale! (I’m gonna come back…but my fingers getting tired. I am A GIRL. Ignore my name. I can’t change it….idkw(I don’t know why.) I can’t.)

I downloaded the game Sky when I heard about the AURORA concert that was going on. I’m not easily impressed by video games and am very limited in the amount of apps I have on my phone. The game is definitely worth downloading now that I have played it with the Season of AURORA now finished. That being said, my review isn’t about this just being a cool digital experience. This concert is the best concert I have ever attended in a digital OR physical format. So many people returned over and over to watch this concert. It was interactive and inclusive both in between and during songs. The design and art gave new life and meaning to the music. I was so moved I would find myself crying at various parts and each time I tuned in, I felt moved by different elements. The whole time I felt so connected to the other people around me in a way that I have very rarely felt in a concert space. I am sensitive to lights due to experiencing seizures and am sensitive to various stimuli. This concert and it’s arrangement was exactly what my heart needed and was tastefully done in a way that I can say is one of the most inclusive ways an artist can perform their music. It was free, any point the lights become overwhelming you can look away with ease, you can control the brightness of your screen, as well as the volume. You are given a character and a POV where you can be apart of the music. By tapping your character, you could « sing » and also glow, so you became the band and the set in one fell swoop. There was even a safe space IN THE CONCERT SPACE so you could go to a quiet, dark place in between sets and lay down and look at animated stars as the mantra inhale exhale was gently playing. I have never felt more connected to a concert, not just the artist, but the entire concert. AURORA makes such stunning music, you really can’t go wrong purchasing this. And you’ll have a piece of history. You can hit play and go about your business while listening to the concert that soothed souls and became a balm of comfort to people the winter of 2022-2023. I hope that Sky recreate this experience or something similar with AURORA, and if they do-run don’t walk to download Sky.

I’ve played Sky for a while, and I dub myself an official SkyKid. Unfortunately I didn’t get to play much during Season Aurora, but what I did get to listen to was beautiful. The concerts were so intuitive, and the music was breathtaking. My personal favorite of what I got the honor of listening to was Queendom. Definitely going to ask my mom to purchase the album. Whew that was alot of words Lol. 1000/10, One of a kind experience to listen to. ~Willo

Read my ‘Sky: children of the light’ review on the app store (Nov 21 of 2022 Best game ever please read!) I don’t really listen to music that isn’t Christian but I do play Sky, as it is my favorite game in the world! Aurora’s voice and style are just indescribable! She is just so unique! I fell in love with her music once the Season of AURORA came out and had to listen to the rest of her stuff. I was shocked that the messages to nearly all of her songs are actually quite pure! I don’t know about the whole Queendom thing 😂 but really is a harmless song. God bless -praise and dance

I love Sky: Children of the Light, and AURORA’s music definitely has complimented this genuinely pure game for the almost 3 years it’s been live. If you are not familiar with Sky:COTL, check out this lovely journey for yourself.

The in game concert was simply amazing and I love that they have all the songs gathered on one album. Thank you sky for introducing me to an amazing artist and thank you Aurora for that the work and love that you put into the collaboration.

Aurora is my favorite music artist and sky is my favorite game... and the best collab was created!!! I feel like aurora's music fits sky very well!
