I’m a life long fan and unfortunately this album is bad. It’s like he forgot how to sing.. I know interpol can do much better. Go back to the basics. The proof is in the past. Here’s hoping the next album is better..

Such a brilliant album! So many powerful moments and I think each song demonstrates how much talent this band has. Their sound is different from 20 years ago. Deal with it. These songs are intricate, detailed, refined and all of that really comes through when you hang out with it, pay attention and play it loud. The bass on this album is engaging and often has a sinister edge that I really like. I’ve had the riff from renegade hearts stuck in my head for days and I don’t even mind. The drums are rich and precise. A well produced album. This is art people.

This sounds like Paul’s solo work, very repetitive, slow…with an off rhythm.
disappointing for waiting almost for years for this.

Listen to it again…. a few times if you have to, to catch the rhythm and poetic lyrics

First three albums are classic after that it’s a downhill spiral. Carlos D is so Sorely missed!!! This feels like a bunch of songs that didn’t make the list from their last few albums and just slapped together. You guys need to go back to your roots and get back to the band that we all loved and admired. Time to do some soul searching and please I beg of you. Bring Carlos D back. He gave you that edge that this band so sorely needs. This album could put you to sleep. Wake up from your sleep please and quit sleep walking. Carlos where are you!!!

Actually like quite a few songs from El Pintor and Maurauder but I just ran thru every song here and not impressed, guess I'll pop back in in a few years when th next album is out

To be honest like many fans, I didn’t know what to expect after the first 3 single releases. Some reviews go as far as to put the band down because of the singles then the album dropped and I am floored by this and haven’t listened to anything since ……it dropped Monday and it’s Sunday…. Hahaha Masterpiece, typical Interpol come to mind if had to describe!
All you doubters need to retract! Own it and admit your indiscretions
One post says they should retire!?!?
