When I was a kid and moved to the Bay Area from the land of down under in the mid 80’s listening to a FM station 106.1 KMEL/107.7 KSOL. Discovered this synthesized melodies, hi energy, 808’s beats and drum machine sound that was sampled no crossfading just quick transition, remixed of a genre called FreestyleDance/Pop by producer/dj Cameron Paul. I was moved by these mixes and sounds and still…..till this day! CP would do live mix sessions on the radio or djing at City Nights downtown San Francisco. Miss those days and the music. I wish more of CP mixes be released on iTunes. :( Can find Cameron Paul mixes on YouTube to hear what I mean for those who don’t know! RIP Cameron Paul. 🙏❤️
