Die hard JB fan here! Love almost everything he does and he’s amazing live! The first half of the album is pretty good but lacks feeling. Decent songs though. The second half is where it seems JB is confused what he’s trying to do... but it comes out as a sad attempt at rock/grunge. It just isn’t good

Approximately 2 weeks ago I decided to listen to Bonamassa’s latest and also went over posted reviews. I’ve listened to it twice and both times came away with the same thought - he continues to drift away from blues/rock and continues to come across as uninspired and pressed to put out something new. As for the reviews? Couple of weeks ago it was mostly positive but there were negative reviews. This morning I looked again and found only the positive reviews. Rather strange how this happened.
