You should definitely check out the instrumental, chill-out, classical-crossover, new age-lounge album called BACH SIDE OF THE MOON by Piers Adams & Larry Lush. Adams is known as one of the top recorder players in the world, especially in classical music with his innovative group Red Priest, while keyboardist Lush made his name in the electronic music and remix scene (Mixmaster Morris, Coldcut and Faithless). Now Adams & Lush have created a fascinating recording that takes 18th Century classics by Bach, Handel, Vivaldi, Gluck, Albinoni, Sammartini and Purcell, and re-invents them as music for recorders (sounding like wood flutes) and synthesizers. This is a strong collaboration melding old and new sounds. It is excellent music for relaxation, stress-reduction and meditation, but it has enough interesting melodic movement to keep the mind tuned in.
