Authentic Western lifestyle music that appeals to those of us who can only dream about the people and places so eloquently described in Ned’s music.

This is Ned LeDoux’s sophomore effort and it does not disappoint. Mac McAnally (AKA Nobody) returns to produce this album as he did Sagebrush and four of Chris LeDoux’s later albums. Next In Line continues the same themes of Sagebrush. Songs about being on the road, ranching and living in the middle of nowhere, due to the content it may be more of a niche album but for those who have experienced that lifestyle this album will speak to you just like Sagebrush did if not more so. Ned wrote most of the songs himself and opens up a little more on this album with songs like "Path of Broken Dreams" and "Travel Alone". There are songs honoring his grandfather with "Worth It", his brother with "A Cowboy is All" and his place of residence in NE Kansas with "Great Plains". There's covers of John Fogerty's "Almost Saturday Night", Mac McAnally's "Just a Little Bit Better", and Chris LeDoux's "Homegrown Western Saturday Night" including the intro spoken by Chris himself. It also features a duet with Corb Lund who also co-wrote with Ned called "Dance With Your Spurs On". The standout on this album in my opinion is the title track "Next In Line". This song speaks about the struggle of keeping the family farm/ranch in the family. Even though the kids were raised there they move on to the city and the parents are left wondering who's next in line. This song really hits home for me because I am a farm/ranch kid who left for the city. Ned has done an admirable job of continuing the LeDoux legacy with his music.

I think this album is freakin' GREAT! Not a bad song on it, and several amazing songs! I like your songs even better than your dad's, and I loved him! And boy you sure sound like him! First complete album I've bought off of iTunes in forever!

This album has exceptional storytelling and music that is even better than Ned’s first album, Sagebrush. You can hear and feel his growth as a performer. The album’s songs are reminiscent of the classic songs we all love, but with a fresh new sound. Wherever you are in life, one of these songs will meet you where you are and bring a smile to your face. I’m proud of Ned. “Chase the sun. Shoot for the stars!”

I love your music! You bring your daddy's spirit and soul to the fans when you sing. I was deployed to Iraq when your Dad passed and it broke my heart to hear. I had just seen you guys at the Colorado State Fair for the first time shortly before deploying and it reminded me of the stories of your dad's shows in Utah which is where I am from. Anyways, don't stop.
