Amazing Country-Rock album. Keep it coming!

Second country album and it’s yet another snoozer of an album from Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real. It reconfirms what I said on the last album: this is a rock band trying to be country. Their Something Real album is incredible surf rock and yet the band has abandoned it in favor of what it appears to be a label trying to position Lukas as Willie Jr. This band needs to be what they are and not what everyone else seems to want them to be.

I was incredibly fortunate to see Lukas live at Outlaw Fest this past September. He is incredible. Pure talent. He writes, sings, and plays directly from his heart. I’m very much looking forward to this album and all of the stories the music has to tell.
