Pretty much the sister album to Weather Diaries, this second iteration of Ride might not have even peaked yet.
Some gems here!

I usually rate most albums very harshly, but I have to be kind here. After almost 20 years off for the band I’m surprised to hear such freshness in some of these tracks. Rarely happens for most 80-90s bands trying to make a comeback. The singer still has a very young sound as well. Whatever he’s been taking the last two decades, I’ll take a bottle! I think the album gets better around track 5 (Clouds of Saint Marie). Track 6 (which doesn’t get as many downloads as others) is my personal favorite (Eternal Recurrence); it’s slow but a 10+ track! Tracks 8 and 10 (Jump Jet and End Game) are quite good as well. The first 4 tracks aren’t bad but I think the album gets stronger at track 5.
Very Impressive

One of the very few bands that has reformed after a 20 year layoff, and produced excellent work. This ranks up there with their classic stuff. Every song...Consider me impressed.
Scream-singing in my car

It’s been forever since I scream-sang with total abandon to a Ride song, Clouds of Saint Marie is such a song. Haven’t fully digested the album yet, but it is solid. It’s loud/soft Ride in a brand new way. Read a lot of so-so professional reviews, holding the band to an impossible standard. Get over your 1990’s reminiscing and go to it. This album is worth listening to for any Ride fan
Love the first song released....
