Excellent Album

This is a great blues-rock album from an artist who deserves much more recognition as both a guitar virtuoso and a songwriter. Reckless Heart shows how her songwriting, playing, and singing just keep getting better and more mature (and I say that as a huge fan of Taylor’s earlier albums). JST shows how she is not a Stevie Ray Vaughan copycat (as if being able to play like SRV could be a bad thing) and dishes folk, soul, and pop influenced tunes alongside her solid rockers. This is a great listen all the way through. I did not want to skip ahead on any track, which is very unusual for me. If you are not already a fan of Joanne Shaw Taylor, you will be after listening to this album.
