Light of the City - EP

The sound of this album is cohesive and I like the fact that it has an international vibe to it. The How Could We track is very introspective and Give Me You is a catchy and inspiring song. This is my first time listening to the EDM sound, I feel like the artist matched the production of each track. This album is perfect for the summer!

What I love about this album is that although it’s a compilation of Christian artists, it has a total new vibe and sound. It’s a mixture of EDM with island sounds. It’s definitely an album that will be on my playlist for the summertime! Dj Em-D is very unique, as I like to call him: the Dj Khalid of CHH!

The first impressions that come to mind when hearing this EP is unique and refreshing. DJ Em-D's style of connecting insipiring melody with amazing vocals and uplifting messages is amazing. "How Could We" bursts with soulful rhythm and a message of sharing the goodness of our faith with others. "Turn the Lights On" has a soft dramatic feel with surging build ups that will have you bobbing your head to the beat. Overall there are so many layers of beauty to this series of tracks, it will take continued listening to find more parts that I love. Don't sleep on it!
