An Underrated Album

This album gets pushed aside due to their only major hit, Video Killed the Radio Star, but there is honestly so much to love here. It's a little campy and over the top, but as a concept album in the early synth-pop era, there are a lot of underexplored ideas and some fantastic story telling here. My favourites by far are Clean Clean, Living in the Plastic Age, and Astroboy (Proles on Parade). I actually find myself skipping over the big hit of the album due to how overplayed it is. My only gripe is that their second album, Adventures in Modern Recording, was never released on iTunes. I own a very beat up vinyl copy of the album, but would love to add it to my collection here and be able to put it on my older iPods that I use as dailies. A remaster of that album would be a treasure.
Trevor Horn has had such an influence as a producer, I wish that his early work in The Buggles was held in as high esteem as it should be.
