The Moody Blues are brilliant musicians and this does not disappoint. A lot of artist fail to shine outside their typical genre, but despite other commentaries, these songs are done well and are really quite pleasant for a Christmas recording. Preview all and make your own decision.

This is not a Christmas album; it’s a Halloween album . . . because if you’re a Moody Blues fan, it’s 40 minutes of horror. If you’re a Christmas music fan you’re still out of luck because the lyrics don’t rise to basic pop music standards (consider the following sequence: “A love that could never be,/Though it meant a lot to you and me:/On a worldwide scale,/We’re just another Winter’s Tale.), much less the Moody’s, and the instrumental sections sound like average elevator music. I had low expectations but was still horribly disappointed.
