I had an original album, The Very Best of RW, transferred to a CD, and had it on my previous phone. It’s the best compilation ever of early Whittaker. New phone did not transfer any of it. This album has some of the same originals that I had, like River Lady, New World, Dirty Old Town, Last Farewell, Durham Town. The rest are not his very best, in my opinion. We Whittaker fans know.

These are the original-versions of the songs, that Whittaker released on his early cassette recordings. Also, they feature the artist in his prime. Searched for the classic orchestrations of these songs for over fifteen-years! Alas, they were only available from British iTunes. Cheers!!

It’s about time that he released a Best of Compilation that doesn’t have new recordings or live recordings. If you’re a Roger Whitaker fan, Don’t hesitate to download this album.
