This is a stunning compilation of the voice of a Legend who has influenced such an array of artists from various backgrounds that continues to this very day. It was the soulful " A Change is Gonna Come" that influenced a generation and became an anthem for the Civil Rights Movement. This album also displays Sam's early gospel roots, and the later soulful sounds such as "Bring it On Home to Me." He had such a smooth, velvet sound like no other artist, especially when singing his love ballads such as "You Send Me." You will tap your feet to the beat as you sing along with songs, such as "Chain Gang." The music and the words will forever be remembered as they dance in your head. . Sam Cooke was a Legend gone too soon, but he left behind a legacy of wonderful music to enjoy.

Out of the blue, I began singing this Cupid song so I bought this album on iTunes. I’m so glad I did. It fills my soul with honest vocals, not disguised by auto-tune like today’s artist. Good music without all the vulgarity. Real singing by my favorite Sam Cooke, gone too soon!
