Just saw them on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. No matter who the guests are, this show features unique musical talents. Had to buy this. Twins locked in spirit and soul make music like no one else can.

Ibeyi is incedibly unique and unlike anyone else, organic, refreshing and pure. Album 1 was stunning. Album 2, "Ash", continues the journey, responding to the world of today, thru their beautiful voices and harmonies. Would love to attend a concert one day. These girls are very special.

I loved Ibeyi's first album so much that I purchased this one without even previewing it. Big mistake! This album completely lacks the vibrance and expressiveness of their previous offering. Tracks like "Waves" are just talk-singing over silence... hardly even musical. If you're looking for depth of emotion and dance worthy jams, then this is not the album for you. Ash is quiet and sobor. Most of the album falls flat for me.
