Kate and Anna McGarrigle

I first heard these beautiful sisters in a ?Woody Allen movie. Searched and found them, and now feel like I'm floating when I listen to them. I'm in my late 60's, and sang folk songs in the early 60's in college. Their sound is so unique and easy on the ears. I love to listen to them! It makes me melt.
So glad to find this album!

I have this on vinyl from the 70's and have always loved it. Not easy to find.

I've been a fan since the early 80's. This first album is a favorite and the songs run the gamut of styles. All are lovely! Learning today of Kate's death makes me glad for her gift of music that she gave to us.
Lost Classic

This is one of the great lost classics of the 70's. Only available in the U.S. as an expensive import on cd, this record deserves wider recognition for its melding of folk-pop-rock influences that anticipates Norah Jones by about thirty years. Every song is excellent but the whole is better than the sum of its parts.
