Beautiful and introspective

Beautiful and introspective at the same time. This album marks Tim's revisit to his synthesizer roots. One of the most beautiful albums I own to date. This album is best enjoyed solo. Meaning make yourself comfortable because you're going for a ride. Find yourself some nice Headphones and enjoy the different textures and moods The Perfect Flaw explores. This is by no means a happy album but a deeply moving work by a master...in my opinion.
If you like this one, listen to Glass Green. It's the one he did while with Wyndham hill records years ago. It's almost equally as entrancing. I emailed mr story once and complimented him now such a beautiful piece and got a very nice response!

This is my favorite Tim Story CD. Although it was produced back in 1994, the music is truly timeless.
My favorite track is "Lydia." Listening to it is the musical equivalent of peeling an onion; not because it'll make you cry (although it is beautiful), but because there are so many layers and textures throughout it.
The rest of the tracks are thoughtful, pensive and intelligent. The occasional added instruments (cello, English horn, etc) add just the right amount of texture and variety as well.
Out of the hundreds of CDs I own, this is among my top 5 favorites.
Highly recommended.

Tim Story never sounds over-sythesized or synthetic. The music wraps you in an organic bliss which is indescribable. It gives new meaning to the word beautiful-- really opens your soul to hidden emotions.
