You can definitely hear the sound of the track restarting. It makes me feel like I’m falling just when I’m about to dose off.

Looping is ideal if you wish to have white noise that doesn't jerk you awake when it starts the next track, or the same track, at a different volume. The transition in the loop isn't perfect, but it is at an acceptable volume.
