Like most of you, I found this when Delores passed. I like almost every genre of music there is, but going to college in the early-mid 90's, The Cranberries were always playing. I had all of their albums (great accoustic one last year) and Delores' two solo efforts. This album is more 80's Brit, a little of a Metric sound, with of course Delores' one of a kind voice/yodel mixed in. I LOVE IT! She will be missed, but left us all in a better world for having been here.

I’m really sad that it took Dolores’ death for me to find this. It’s refreshing, and something I had been hoping she’d do ever since Wake Up and Smell The Coffee to try to shake things up (even though Are You Listening did a wonderful job of that in its own right). It’s really awful and unfair that the reviews for this album were so sour. Especially considering what’s popular these days. Sure, there may be some sounds on here that have been done many times over, but calling them derivative is just harsh. D.A.R.K., with Dolores’ help delivered these sounds with honesty, emotion, and in a fresh way that most popular “artists” do not. The lyrics are mature, go against the grain of society’s common belief systems and while repetitive at times isn’t boring. Besides, most EDM music is repetitive. I don’t see professional reviewers complaining about Daft Punk’s Around The World. Anyway, my point is, this album is fantastic, and unless D.A.R.K. decides to release a EP of the stuff they were recording when she passed then there will sadly never be anything like this again.
