The album isn’t terrible, just in my opinion weak vocals. If you listen to any Armin album you’ll understand. I don’t think Armin is a sell out, I just think he isn’t creating quality music anymore. You don’t have to make a classic trance album, but stick to who you are. This is just super disappointing to me as Above and Beyond’s album and Gareth Emery’s albums are amazing!!!
  • At least I already knew not to expect much

I didn't have high hopes for this album. The last few times I've seen him have been extremely disappointing so I knew there was a slim chance anything would be different witht his album. It's very generic and commercial. If you enjoy mainstage sets at EDM festivals, then you'll probably love this album. I've officially given up on him. Above & Beyond lost their trance sound, but I still think a lot of their newer stuff is unique and stands out amongst the rest of top EDM acts. Armin changed for the wrose.

Great great music. An epic sound with the feeling of futuristic trance / dance. 5 Star 10/10.

Has gotten way too poppy and mainstream. I understand he wants to expand his sound but this is much more generic and doesnt have the complexity of his other material.
  • AVB sells out! Garbage set!

This has been one of the most disappointing releases I’ve ever had the displeasure of buying. I’ve already given up on Tiesto, and now I find myself heartbroken that I have to do the same with AVB. It’s like AVB has died and some unknown person has taken his place in order to release a pathetic attempt to try and hang with the cool kids of EDM. I guess trance is dead to AVB- and this garbage is a great reflection of the fact that he now sounds like any other basement DJ that just samples other artist’s work in order to try and make EDM sound cool. Here’s to hoping Aly & Fila don’t follow suit…

The title track, Embrace, opens with a really nice trumpet piece, then quickly ruins itself by abruptly turning into your average 4x4 trance banger. The rest of the songs are just Europop with trance influences and beats. The two standout tracks, "Old Skool" & "Off the Hook", are actually progressive house. Real trance fans should stay away from this album but if you like pop, it might be worth a listen on spotify

3 star quality album but I'm deducting one for the songs all sounding like the same recycled stuff used over and over again
