Avril hits it out of the park with this video. The song is terrific- it draws out emotions without trying to be deep and the video perfectly matches this by being well crafted in terms of having a plot (stay with me), structure, and closure. The combination of live-action and animated perfectly suits the song's attitude and adds another level of fun to it. It's the perfect combination of F.U. and self-deprication by virtue of its tongue-in-cheek style. In just a few minutes I knew who the characters were and I cared about them and their mission. And any video with a knife-wielding lobster in it just rocks. Period.
