If Miranda knew how powerful this song has been, try after try I can't get through it without chocking on the words or pulling back on a wave of emotion. Her rendition is so perfect and attracted me to her music.
I grew up as a PK and lived in a Rectory beside the church. As a young man we replaced those side porch steps and I lived in the little back bedroom upstairs. My father built a beatiful church there in the course of eighteen years. But more importantly, I left the church at an early age and for whatever reason returned of my own choice when I was just about eighteen.
The bedrock of who I became came from the lessons I learned while within those walls. My father taught me, my Father sustains me, that house and that church built me. To have this song is like opening a memory book. My goal will be be to sing it as faithfully.
