I didn't even know at the time when the song was released that it would showcase a strong drum performance by Jeff Porcaro. The next time I hear Like A Prayer by Madonna on my I-pod. My ear will instantly know that it is his drums supplying that beat.

Most people either see this video as sacrilegious to the Church or a exploration of artistic genius. I found this to one of Madonna's best video efforts. This video created during Michael Jackson's video dominance hit MTV with a storm of controversy. While MJ was still entertaining his fans with videos based on movies; Madonna was making her fans question their concepts of morality. Like it or hate it, this video is thought provoking

Controversial, maybe. Offensive, no. This video represents everything Madonna stands for; pushing boundaries, creative expression, musical theatrics, etc. Even those who don't particularly identify with Madonna's music can find appreciation with this piece, at least those with any sort of intelligence.
