This video shows that we enter and exit this world like goldfish: with nothing, meaning that worldly possessions count for nothing. The love we have for others and that others have for us is all that matters. You see that the two goldfish are dead while the food and other objects are still intact (shown to be sinful and meaningless by the ants and other insects) and then the two people find and love each other. Their love purifies their lives by casting aside all obsession with objects (the rain) and they exit like goldfish, but now they're truly alive. Hope this helps, I highly recommend it, this video is the best.

iron and wine is such a great band with a lot of ecocentricalastic music. this video fits them perfectly it was so irrad and adorable the most intricate details really paid off in this film production i am excited to see more of your video productions in the future. you might want to add more high gloss in some of the outdoors scene and fuzz pixel the edges of some personality faces during the childhood scenes.

Somebody once told me that Sam Beam is a film professor at University of Fla. I wonder, did he shoot this? I have been a fan of his for a long time. This purchase was a whim, tacked along with the new album, which is fantastic.
  • Watch it again, holmes. You missed something.

This is one of the most cleverly subtle videos I have ever seen. Pay attention to the table of food as the camera pans right and notice what changes with EACH little items as the camera pans back left. If in deed this video was made with one continuous un-cut shot, imagine the work that is going on behind the camera.
  • Dissapointment

I adore Iron & Wine, but I was deeply dissapointed in this video. I expected more human interaction, but 98% of the video was looking at ruined food! It just didn't do anything for me. This is definately not worth $2. I still love Iron & Wine, though.

This video fits Iron and Wine like a glove. It's mellow a soothing, yet very intriguing. Watching this video brings me to that same relaxing state that I got at their show and I get every time I listen to their cd. Artistic and chilled out, this video is one of my favorites.
