Echoes of Devotion

What appeared as a dream a while back for many of us has come to glorious fruition. These beats and sounds are true to life, like being with the sangha in the San Francisco temple on any Tuesday or Thurs night, and every Saturday morning with Janet. If you’ve practiced with her, this will be a great talisman to the ears. Brings back memories when Drez and Janet used to play together in class, and now, anytime. A beautiful composition- and has me curious for more.

I had the pleasure of seeing Janet Stone and DJ Drez perform together at Wanderlust Snowshoe WV at the beginning of June. Such beautiful energy. We all chanted together at the end to Hanuman Bolo (check it out on the album!). What an awesome experience! Get this album! Listen to it over and over! You won't be disappointed!

Can’t get enough of this! If you’ve been lucky enough to practice in Janet’s heartfelt classes you know her voice is one of a kind and nothing short of spectacular. Paired with the luscious beats of DJ Drez, this album is a gift that will move you.

SO happy this is finally here! To play in my yoga classes, in my home and to just remember. Over the years, I have had Janet sing into my iPhone, I’ve recorded our group singing, I’ve tried to remember how “it" goes….Watch out because Hanuman Bolo will get in your head-at least it does mine and replays again and again and again. So great!

Long awaited for those who practice and sing these sweet mantras with Janet and seek out Drez at his shows held nationwide...

I’ve had the privilege of studying with Janet Stone for years and chanting in live classes. This album captures the magic and ripples it out for everyone to hear! Kirtan, especially with Janet, calls me back home to my heart and reminds me of the support that is seen and unseen, all around us. As a yoga teacher myself, it’s such a gift to bring this album into class and share the songs of my heart with students. And play it while I’m working, driving, cooking, practicing… It’s on constant rotation.

There’s really just no getting enough of this one. Like some of the other reviewers here, I commute nearly an hour and a half - sometimes up to three times a week - to hear, and take part in, the chanting this album offers - its energy, its grounding, its joy. This was a long-awaited collaboration, and a tremendous gift that seems to give more every time the album begins again – because, yes, it’s been on repeat since it came into my hands.

So appreciate everything about this album. When I need to feel grounded… Echoes of devotion is right here close to my heart. Om Hrim!
