This is a fantastic album from start to finish! To hear a Sondheim score that is mostly unfamiliar is a treat! 'Saturday Night' was the composer's first Broadway score, written in 1954. However, it is not void of the genius musical expression that has become synonymous with Sondheim's work. This Original New York Cast recording is an exceptional soundtrack! I would recommend the album to all!
