I was a huge fan of the first few seasons of Glee, but was extremely disappointed with the last two seasons, with this final season being almost unwatchable. But the first half of the series finale was a wonderful way to pay tribute to the legacy of those early episodes. The final scene of "2009" was a great way to honor the legacy of Cory Monteith. Finn Hudson was Glee's heart and soul, and the show was never truly able to compensate for losing him.
I didn't much care for the second hour, as I've never been a fan of flash-forwards. So I'll just mentally block that out of my memory and choose to let that iconic performance of "Don't Stop Believing" be my final remembrance of a groundbreaking series that forever changed the face of television. Good bye, Glee. I wasn't sure I'd be able to say this, but I'll miss you.
