For me this album was one I had to let simmer and allow its aroma, its essence to fully envelope me. So I gave it a few weeks, giving it the time a project like this needs to be given a decent review. With that I’d say the sounds given here are quite intricate and the lyrics fully developed. The project overall I believe is a significant step in the development of Southern CHH. Significant in that Alex and Dre seem to be representing a specific regional experience while interweaving that perspective with that of current national social and political conversations. The only criticism I have for the album is that the mixing is a bit unbalanced. Excluding the vocals, the drums override much of the other sounds. And those other sounds like the keys and synths are way too dope here to be left in the background. Overall, it’s a dense project that is interesting but that needs to be played on 10 bangin’ out the trunk. Well done guys! You’ve made an album that should please the lyric snobs and the bass heads.

Another Banger from Alex and Dre. Glad these dudes hooked up with each other. This album puts me on the streets of Houston and the ATL at the same time. Definately muzic to ride too. Keep them bangers coming Alex and Dre. I appreciate it.

Loved the album! Good interpretations of where they come from and how they would love to see it change for the better. The visuals were super dope. If you mess with the south, get it. If you don't mess with the south, GET IT!

Let me start by saying up front my only issue with this album is that it had to come to an end. This album was a very amazing in the way, that it could easily captivate the modern youth with it’s bass heavy southern style production, and hold the audience with lyrical mastery. It’s almost like a bait and switch, as the beats we’ve come to associate with mindless babble raps laced with drug sex and money break apart to give light to a beautiful lyrical contrast of testimony and praise. Alex’s faith’s testimonial on "Forever" combined with Dre Murray’s words of praise and dedication work together in perfect harmony to deliver a soulful mood enhancing track. This beautiful back and forth continues throughout the album and give it tremendous power as you can feel the cohesion between both artist in every song. I feel like albums like this are essential to bridging the gap between the street and the Faith and If I could give it 6 stars I would.
