On my first listen I thought it wasn’t up to snuff, but after a couple more listens I found myself listening to it all the way through at least once a day for a couple weeks on car rides. If you didn’t like this album at first glance, maybe give it a second chance.

Easily his best album so far - and he is (to me at least; although I know I am not alone in this view) easily one of the greatest rappers of the time. This album sheds all the Odd Future past influence over his sound. It is all about deep introspection. Like “Chum” from Doris, this album continues in that same direction - but in totality. It’s all Earl here. Dark in a great way, very intelligent music. Great features too. It is exactly the album i was hoping he would make, since there have always been hints in this direction one could hear in his music. It really is a great listen. Recommended for people who dig heady hip hop / rap, and don’t mind the darkness that inherently comes with such work.Easy 5 stars: BUY IT!
