I Love Surprises

I thought I was totally taking a chance buying this, hadn’t heard it, had no idea what to expect. After listening to other summer albums in vain, I finally put this one on. It pulled me out of my funk SO good. I Love It.
Shake & Tremble

I got the track "Shake & Tremble" from the "Free in iTunes" section a few weks ago. After listening to it awhile, I just have to say, great rock stuff here. Kinda reminds me of 60s Surf Music. I love this sound!
More Obscure But Still Fantastic👌🏼

Being so familiar with the debut album, I was initially thrown off by some of the melodic tones in the progressions. I must say that I am quickly coming to love the odd new vocal melodies with each listen. It’s quite a strange phenomena how it’s growing on me more strongly than other albums have!
Highlight Songs: Giant, Shake and Tremble, Reflections, Beginning to Fade, Life We Know.
Solid Songs: Found You, First Light, Vibrations, Shot Down, High Moon, 4000 Years, Break the Glass.
Weak Songs: Pause Repeat.
I must say that the general mood and vocal energy is sort of lazier in this album for a large portion of songs. Despite that it does create a good variety between the other faster and upbeat songs. Also I’m more of an instrumental listener so I’m basing most of my individual song ratings on overall sound, song structure, continuity, technical abilities, and of course highlight events/emotional epiphanies as a listener :)
Surprisingly Good, Worth The Album

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this album, the words, music, sounds and mood were first rate.
Picking up where they left off...

Uniquely derivative? They continue their interesting modern update of The Beta Band!

Not since 2012 and Alt-J’s “An Awesome Wave” have I been as impressed with a band’s creativity. With Born Under Saturn, Django Django constructs a space for the listener to discover meaning and value (in the aesthetic sense of these terms) that is somehow intense and lighthearted. If you’re looking for a new sound to grove on (and no, this is not their first release)—give this a listen. You’ll be glad you did.
Amazing, again

How many times have we excitedly anticipated the second album of a band only to find out eventually that it just couldn't hold up to the first one? In this case:
1st album *****
2nd album *****

I was blown away for their first release, and have been itchin to get my hands on this follow up. The first single they released "First Light" was solid but lacked a some of the quirkiness, and cool surf guitar sound that permeated the first album, but carried forth with the retro vocal harmonies that have a 60s vibe to them. I was thrilled to listen through Born Under Saturn and hear that they are still full on quirky and unique. I could gush about this , but will be succinct and say that you should just buy it...you will not be dissapointed.
they are great best album yet
