Excellent Performance 🌺

I love the performances given here by Mr. O'Dette. Many of my favorite lute pieces are included, and his versions exceed them all (with a couple of exceptions). However, I have to crank the volume twice as loud as is usual with any other CDs (even other lute CDs) to hear the music. The excellent lute tone is there, all the wonderful nuances, but forget about listening in the car, which is my main listening time. And if you do, don't suddenly switch over to the radio! All the O'Dette recordings I have are awesome, but with certain ones, there are mastering and/or engineering problems. And, unfortunately, this is one. Don't let that stop you from checking it out, just prepare to boost it yourself.

I love this album for its sweet melodies and sense of Elizabethan grace and harmony. If you like lute music, this is beautifully performed and takes you to a lovely place.
