This album is incredible! A must-listen for the avid Jazz enthusiast and the casual music fan alike. Joe is a true chairman of the boards and pianist extraordinaire whose talent shines on "Georgia Sunset." With an obvious ear and feel for a swinging style that goes all too forgotten these days, Joe brings an appreciate for Jazz legends of old and carries it into the 21st century with his own unique approach and incredible chops.
And talk about the cherry on top! "Georgia Sunset" also features inspired playing from the legendary Houston Person who adds his soulful saxophone to a number of the album's tracks, adding an irresistably bluesy ambience to the mix. "The Theme," co-written by Joe and the incomporable Les McCann is a personal favorite.
Do yourself and your ears a favor, and get your groove on with "Georgia Sunset" by the great Joe Alterman!
