They must still be hungry

Extremely slick production and incredible songwriting. Ian really proves himself here, as this sounds nothing like his previous work. Top notch musicianship all around. They must still be hungry.
Some of their very best work ever

Amazing beautiful work here. Standouts: vanishing man, old coast road, pride before a fall, lighting white, Miami, toy head, volcano.

Been a fan for since the Eightees. The soundscapes Church generates are timeless. Kudos for the ambition and complex arrangements herein further/deeper. Music as art. Would love to see you live, someday. Someday.
Surprised

I really didn’t want to like this album. Marty Willson-Piper is one of my favorite guitar players ever. The album was a complete surprise. Lot of great songs on here.
Pleasant surprise

The Church is a band that I have followed for many years. For the most part their albums have been one or two song events for me, but those songs have kept be coming back. This cd ranks as my favorite because from my standpoint and tastes, about half of it is truly stellar. I was surprised and disappointed that MWP was not part of it because I personally have found his other projects to be better than his work with The Church (will there be another Noctorum album?). But I cannot deny that they seem to have done very well without him. Nice job - probably will be on my top 10 list for 2015.
Great Effort. I keep going to Church!

Couple of real gems here. Laurel Canyon, Old Coast Road, Pride Before A Fall and Love Philtre are the most approachable songs for me. Really enjoyed the bonus track, The Girl is Bouyant too.
Kinda wish Tim would have put Steve's vocals a little more up front without so much post processing. It's a little difficult making out what he is singing through many tracks. Untitled #23 was much clearer from a vocal treatment perspective. -Just my humble opinion.
Nonetheless, like this record a lot. Up there with the last three released.
Best in years.

Knowing Marty was out I was going to skip but curiosity got the best of me and glad it did. Superb.

I couldn't wait for the U.S. Release. I was a little concerned with the lack of MWP, but after the first track I realized my concerns were for nothing.
Great music and words from beginning to end. Just brilliant.
Amazing

Tim, Ian, Peter & Steve have once again shown why The Church is among the best bands today. Hard to believe Starfish was so many years ago? I'll admit hearing Numbers for the first time a couple years ago via Pandora reignited my love for this band but what I've learned since is that the guys, Marty as well, have continued to get better and better. I liken them to James (UK) in that they seem to catch lightning in a bottle with every album. Looking forward to catching them at The El Rey this month. Thank you, Gentlemen, for sharing another masterpiece.
