This has become a classic, yes I said it, a defining classic of the peppers discography. If you had not heard of the chill peppers b4 then this would be the album to listen to 1st. It defines them this is when all the moving parts of this band came naturally and wholistically together! Doesn’t get better than this and the album stands the test of time. Will never be another peppers album better than this. What are you waiting for ? Jump on this musical surfboard made of pure funk and run to ocean of Melodie’s and ride that sonic wave baby ride!

I thought they would have added the funky monks documentary. At least add more than 2 tracks to this.
  • One of the best rock albums ever.

The deluxe version is definitely the way to go. You get 2 bonus tracks, both Jimi Hendrix covers done well. With the amount of reviews this classic album has, I can come to the conclusion that this generation of music lovers hasn’t got a clue.
  • This album only has 8 reviews are you kidding me!!!?!!

This is by far the best Chili Peppers album and has classic songs all over it. If you like alternative and you listen to this album and don't like it, you are crazy!! I would give it 6 stars if I could. I mean come on people, this album is the one of the cornerstones of the grunge/alt rock movement of the nineties!
