I just wanna start off by saying that if you are a die-hard 138 BPM uplifting trance fan, this might not be for you. Heatbeat is a great Trance duo, but they center around Electro Trance, which has a very progressive, strong sound. Epic beats, heavy synths, and dramatic drops is what awaits:
1. Intro
I feel like this is a really good intro, just because it creates a ton of anticipation. 10/10
2. Bloody Moon
Definitely one of my favorites in the album. This song starts off with a catchy trance intro, moves on to some latin sounding instruments. The melody is amazing, and the release is electro, trance, and perfect. 10/10
3. Secret
Another one of my favorites. The song starts off very strong, and is the first of three vocal tracks in the album. The vocals are amazing, and the beat is really good. Finally, it maintains a good melody throughout. I think uplifting fans might like this one because the release is very melodical, yet maintains the classic Heatbeat sound. 10/10
4. Aerys
I personally like this one because it is, in a few words, intricate. You are taken through a journey of a pretty soft synth, to a more raspy, electro sound, and finally, to one of the best drops of the album, with a repetitive, electronic and metallic sound, which is catchy. Very catchy. 9/10
5. Berserker
This song is considered by many one of the bests of the album. It is interesting alright. It has a variety of sounds, but maintains a pretty constant melody throughout. It is pretty electronic in the breakdown, but I feel like it is one of the softer, more melodical tracks in the album. 8/10
6. Nasty (VIP Edit)
This is a collaboration with Chris Schweizer, another great Argentine progressive trance producer. The name says it all, it has a really nasty drop which makes it accessible to fans of dramatic drops. The build-up is pretty amazing, and the contrast between the soft synths, and heavy sounds makes this an amazing song. 10/10
7. Left Standing
The second vocal track in the album, this one comes in as strong as Secret. It is one of the less electro songs, and sticks to the more typical progressive trance sounds. The breakdown is very melodical, and it has a great beat. 10/10
8. Felina
The song progresses into an ensemble of strings, and then moves onto a catchy electro melody, and it might remind you of Tiësto's Adagio for Strings. Might not. The breakdown is great, with an amazing beat, and a really good melody. 8.5/10
9. The Beast
Another track with the great Chris Schweizer. These guys should seriously make a Trance trio. This song, like Nasty, features electro synths, a dramatic build-up, and an amazingly strong breakdown. Also features your typical trance build-up synth. Beast. 10/10
10. Magical Princess Owl
The first minute of the song is a gradual build up of soft synths, pianos, and finally a stronger synth. It continues with a "heroic" melody throughout the song. Definitely one of the less aggressive songs of the album, but it helps set the contrast between The Beast and Buenosaurus. 7.5/10
11. Buenosaurus
Starts off with a very heavy synth, then moves on to a peculiar, unique breakdown. It then goes into a very funky beat part, and repeats. Just amazing. 10/10
12. Again
The song starts with a piano-y synth and a pretty marked beat. It then moves into a good build-up, and the breakdown is electro, heavy, and catchy. Really good. 9.5/10
13. Excocet
The song starts with a hero/movie like intro, with big ambient noises, long notes, and awesome melodies. It then goes into an electro synth in the build-up, and then the "Beat goes Down", with a really good breakdown full of great beat, and a Heatbeat signature heavy electro synth. 9.5/10
14. The third and final vocal track. I am not such a big fan of this song. It starts with some pianos, and the vocals are AMAZING... But then comes the breakdown, and I feel like it is almost dubstep. They went slightly overboard with the electro synth, and the melody is very slow, and lazy. So I feel like everything in this track is amazing, except the drop... 7/10 would be 9/10 with a better breakdown.
15. Pharaon.
Last track of this amazing album. It has an Egyptian, Arab melody throughout. And although it may sound like it will be very cliché, it is not. The song also uses some heavy electro synths, and mixed with the arabic melodies it makes a unique song. Shows the spirit of trance, which is to experiment and make every song different and special. 9.5/10
