Inside Your Eyes

Anything with Mike Frost, Lauren Meccia (or anyone they play with) is good music. This album has a nice mix of covers and originals. I particularly like “ I Can’t Make You Love Me”. That song was in my head for days. Hopefully they will keep making great music for a long time.

This has got to be one of the sexiest CD's out there. Amazing from start to finish is an understatement!! Lauren's vocal is so mesmerizing, that it gets past your ears and deep in your soul and makes you feel weightless. Lifting you out of your current environment and takes you on a hypnotic journey of smooth and influential music. Arrangements are spot on with an AMAZING band providing the foundation. I'll be listening to and recommending this CD to all music lovers. Congratulations on a job well done!!!!

I found that listening to Lauren Meccia's debut vocal album "Inside Your Eyes" is a welcomed addition to our quiet evening dinners and our easy Saturday mornings while drinking coffee. Mike Frost's jazz styling makes these classics and original pieces fresh and upbeat. I could use every synonym for "smooth" for Lauren's voice. They all fit. Easy, effortless, fluid, gentle, peaceful, polished, serene, silky and more. This new album "Inside Your Eyes" belongs in every Jazz collection.

Smooth, suave, sophisticated, soothing, sassy and soulful are just a handful of adjectives that describe Lauren Meccia's vocal range and delivery in a collection of original songs and reprises of some classics that will take you back to the golden age of jazz but with a contemporary flair. The purity of her voice and ease and control of her broad range will leave you wondering where she's been your whole life. Combined with a masterful performance on piano by Donald Vega and the solid foundation laid by Mike Frost on the bass, this album is a must have for any jazz lover's collection. This a great album. It features Lauren Meccia with splendid vocals along with a stellar main backup featuring Mike Frost on bass, Donald Vega on keys, and some extra musical talented backup. Not only is the musicianship and performance great but the recording is great as well. The album is very pleasant to listen to and it does not disappoint ..go pick this one up!
