Just listening to the music by itself, after watching the movie, never fails to bring tears to my eyes, the leitmotif in Anna’s Theme always gets me misty-eyed, especially in the piano version😢.
Great movie and songs

This soundtrack compliments the film really well, from Anna's train ride from Saporro to the harrowing moments when Marnie must say goodbye when she just came into Anna's life so quickly, every piece is happy, bittersweet and emotional. My standout favorites are "An Ordinary Face", "Three Questions Each", "The Party" and my personal favorite, "A Final Wish". The movie is a sad mind trip, and so is the music.
Nostolgic tomes of the heart.

There's a powerful sorrow and innocence to the music that captures not just the film, but to those final days of childhood before the real world comes rushing over you.
Takatsugu Muramatsu captures that balance of the jovial fun of adolesent frienships and the wilting sadness of the familar end of an era in their lives that both girls try to hold onto and eventually brood the loss of. As we all do when hard truths dawn on us and we leave the fantasies behind and grow up.
It's a true journey and experence this score, even without the amazing companionship of this beautiful movie, it truely captures a sense of spirt that this story and our own experiences potray.
"I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?"
You still gonna love this OST

I can’t wait for the movie, and this soundtrack seems good, but…. no Joe Hisaishi?
