Some reviews here are real head scratchers. One complains that “Stay” is not the full version. Yes it is, the first part is called “The Load Out” and leads right into it. Another reviewer says he sings mostly covers. He wrote 30 of the 32 songs in this collection, I think that rebuts the claim of mostly covers. As to the song selection here, it’s top notch. It has all of his biggest hits and FM deep tracks. Five easy stars.

I love to watch and hear him explain all about how he constructs his patterns with some technique involvement along with exercises in a video presentation that is on my I-pad. I look at the screen and hear the audio through my headphones. He also tells about paying close attention to certain key elements such as the bass part. And vocal phrasing. And what the keyboards and guitar do.So that is why he was so highly regarded as the best session player of all time.Especially the Rosanna Half Time Shuffle Groove. He explains all about how it came to be. Taking from Bernard Purdie and John Bonham and also adding a shuffle figure from Bo Diddley. Then combining them all into that fantastic opening to one of my favorite videos.Still the best there was and always will be. His legacy lives on forever and ever. And still my favorite heartstrings drummer who never ceases to amaze me. It's not the same without his drums. I bless the rains down in Africa. 💜💽😇😀😍💚😂😈📱🎺💿💛📀🎧🎸💙😅☺️🎷🎼📲😊🐯🐱🎹🎻🐈❤️😿.etc. etc.etc. Rock on in Heaven.🐈🎼💿💙😂😅💚💽💛🎧🎹🐱❤️📲😿🎺😇😀🎤💜📱😊🎷🎻🐯🎸📀😈☺️😍.

Other than Doctor My Eyes, Boulevard, In the Shape of A Heart , Somebody's Baby The Pretender , Tender is the Night, Running on Empty, Jackson Browne sang a lot of covers such as Stay which was a hit in the 1950's by the Zodiacs. While he has a cult following , he was surprisingly popular. And I think he would have been more popular if he recorded more of his original music instead of mostly covers.

Jackson Browne is amazing and so is this album. I discovered him through the movie Fast Times At Ridgemont High and from that point I was hooked.
