I've been a fan of Jon Secada since the very early 90's when I first heard If You Go on the radio. I couldn't find the CD (or tape) anywhere. I was so thrilled when I did. His style, his voice and the songs just reeled me in. Doesn't hurt to see his looks, too, especially on video.
When I discovered Same Dream a few months ago, not knowing before then that it had been out for years, (I also bought others at the time that I'd missed), I fell in love with that voice all over again. Same Dream is as close to perfection as you can get. My absolute favorite is All I Wanna Be. My God, his voice on the first line, let alone the rest, is enough to make me melt. Same Dream is another winner - absolutely love the message. Don't just pick and choose the downloads from this album; you won't regret downloading the entire offering.

Absolutley love Jon Secada! Lost my Same Dream CD and was glad to add it to my ITunes downloads and my IPod! You will not be disappointed with this album. Jon still has it!!...wish he'd do another...we fans have waited too long!!

Jon Secada reassures himself as one of the best. Much of the album is his latin style with some modern beats such as "bring on the sun" & "All I wanna be" and a few tracks mixing his style with a hip hop beat & assisting vocals like "tender love" and "don't rock like that". The album is awesome and all tracks are great, I even downloaded the video for "free". Free is one of the best songs, a high beat pure latin style track. One of the best albums I've ever bought, "better part of me" is another great Secada Album. I will never hesitate to buy any Secada album.

I was a big fan of Jon's first album released way back in the 90's. I was not even aware he had a released another English POP album. Yet I do not even recall one song from this album ever being released to the radio??? What a mistake, the soulful ballads and music is Jon at his best. Its such a shame that the music industry is so broken, talent such as Jon's goes by the wayside after their initial blockbuster introduction albums and their sophmore projects end up under or over produced not recapturing what made them attractive in the first place, their voice talent.
His music has such good energy to it...

I have been a fan of Secadas since the early 90's. His voice and music has so much energy and emotion to it. Alot of times when i listen to his music i have a vision like im on the beach w/ the palms swaying, people partying while the sun's going down and im dancing w/ the hottest Latina around lol. Keep it up Secada!

This album is everything and more than what I expected. The regaeton influenced one "Tender Love" is my favorite song, it really hits in the car, as far as bass goes. "Same Dream" the title track is not only moving, but inspiring. It really captures the essence of Jon's voice, and presence. The song I would say is the the definition of who Jon is, vocally.
"Free" the new single is really good too. It really gets going in the morning. It's what I wake up to on my alarm clock radio.

Amazing melodies. He can carry a song and words so intricately with the music. Original and fresh. If radio would play this it would be huge. Too bad they only play the urban overflow instead of mixing it up more.

This CD is so mature and gentle in its expression. Almost every song contributes to its artful grace of real love, real longing, real heartbreak, real redemption. It's harmonious and melodic music for *adults* and I can't recommend it enough--especially for those days when all the bad you've done and that has been done to you seems to outweigh all the good you've done and that has been done for you. Bring on the sun and come out of the dark, indeed!
